Repagination of Existing Indices
When new editions call for updates to indices, IndexingPros can repaginate the existing
index. We begin by converting the original index into a file usable by our indexing
software. Once we have recreated the original index line-for-line, we resort the index
into page order. While comparing the old content with the new content, we examine and
modify page numbers one at a time. If content has changed, we make sure the additions
and deletions are reflected in the index.
